At Erie Elementary we build character, focus on academic excellence, and build skills for life-long learning. Our high school coordinator supports students and families throughout their high school application and decision-making process starting in 6th grade - we value every student's unique academic path. We encourage students to be self-reflective and identify what is best for them academically and personally so they thrive.
Erie Elementary places a strong emphasis on exposure to higher learning through annual field trips to high school and college campuses starting in Kindergarten, hosts a diverse High School Fair, and invites alumni and high school representatives to speak with students.
Every year since 2017, Erie Elementary 8th graders have received academic, leadership, and character scholarships such as the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund. These scholarships have provided students access to private school education – for little to no cost – at schools like Chicago Hope Academy, DePaul College Prep, Josephinum Academy, and Thatcher School in Ojai, California.
